As a child, the landscapes and wilderness of Northern Ontario were my playground. Camping, canoeing and fishing were my pastimes. Then life happened. I met the love of my life, got married and together we raised two beautiful children. In my professional life, I was President & CEO of a multimillion dollar corporation and later a municipal Chief Administrative Officer. I have served on several boards including: Chair of the Board of Directors at Royal Victoria Hospital, Laurentian University’s Board of Governors, and the National Quality Institute.
One day my wife had an opportunity to write a travel article for a magazine. The client would pay the expenses for a writer and a photographer to visit Britain for a week. I used all my Air-mile points to buy my first DSLR camera. The camera arrived a few days before our departure. I read the instruction manual on the plane and….”Voilà, I looked like a photographer!”
Since then, I've been learning, taking pictures and loving every minute of it. I studied photography at Georgian College and have completed countless programs in photography and photoshop online. I am a nationally accredited nature photographer and a member of the Professional Photographers of Canada.
Photography brought me back to my roots: nature, wildlife and landscapes. When I don’t have a camera in my hand, you may find me standing in a river waving a stick. And that beautiful lady in the funny hat fly fishing beside me — still the love of my life.
